Smart Contact Reminder v2.8.0 – plenty of small improvements

A new version of Smart Contact Reminder (2.8.0) has just been released to Google Play store and it contains lots of small but useful improvements – most of which have been suggested directly by the people using our app. Let’s take a look at them in more detail.

Select all contacts in “Batch import”

One of the frequently requested features was to be able to select all contacts with a single tap when importing them into Smart Contact Reminder. This is now possible so you can easily import all your existing phone book contacts. 💪

Direct access to a linked phone contact

One of the convenient ways to import your existing phone book contacts into Smart Contact Reminder is to use the “Batch import” feature as described above. You can also link a contact from your phone book when creating a new contact record manually.

This allows our app to access some of the contact information for quick actions when you want to get in touch. Until now, there was no way to link back to the system contact from within Smart Contact Reminder. However, this has now been made possible thanks to one of our users who suggested this. Just tap on “Get in touch” and on the sheet, tap on the contact icon in the top right corner. 🚀

Important event indicators

When there’s an upcoming important event (anniversary, birthday, etc.) for one of your connections, we now display a new indicator in “Your circles” screen as well. The indicator is shown when the next contact date alignes with the event date.

This way, you never miss an important event for any of your connections! 🥳

New photo picker

We are always following the latest trends in Android development. As part of the modern mobile platform, there is now a new photo picker available for apps to use. It makes sure apps now have access only to the pictures you select to share with it. 👍

Time picker format

We have fixed an issue with the time picker that is used for example when selecting time for a contact log. Previously, the time format was fixed to the 12-hour one. Now, the time picker follows the settings of your system and phone language conventions and uses a 24-hour format if required. 🎉

This is all of the updates for this time. You can get the new update from Google Play right now!
