Cloud backup and data export – new in Smart Contact Reminder v2.9.0

Probably the worst thing that could happen to any of us is to lose the data we have patiently been creating and gathering for a long time. This includes the data put into Smart Contact Reminder in order to stay on top of regular contact with important people in your life.

That’s why in the new v2.9.0 release of Smart Contact Reminder, we focused on giving our users all the tools they could use to prevent this from happening. We’re introducing two new ways to backup and control your data – cloud backup and export to CSV.

Cloud backup

There was a big demand for adding a cloud backup functionality from our users. We listened and implemented a popular backup method – Google Drive.

Similar to the Automatic backup feature, this is available for premium users. Once enabled, the latest automatically created backup archive is always uploaded to Google Drive.

To restore the latest backup (for example on a new phone), just link the same Google account and restore the backup onto your new device.

Export to CSV

Your data is yours and yours only. Smart Contact Reminder keeps your data offline, on your device, by default.

If you ever decide to leave Smart Contact Reminder, you don’t have to leave your data behind.

From now, you can export all your data to an open CSV format. This also includes photos of all your contacts.

This also opens up possibilities to run various data queries and process your data in any way you can think of.
